This people carrier vehicle couldn’t be parked inconspicuously in Yambol with those glaring headlamps. I’m not too sure of the make, but it is Sofia registered with the ‘C’ on the registration plate. The age of the van is also a mystery; I’d say around 20+ years old. No chance of it being stolen, firstly because that doesn’t go on here and secondly it’s not exactly a ‘joy’ ride vehicle that’s for sure. Make the most of seeing these types of vehicles around they won’t be for much longer in Yambol
This vehicle is an East German Barkas B1000 van, what was also common once in my country, Hungary as well... they have the same 1000ccm 3cylynder 2-stroke engine as the old Wartburg passanger cars. I think Bulgaria was maybe one of the only cyrillic-writing Slavic nation to have old 2-stroke engined East German vehicles, since they haven't made cars, like Hungary, Bulgaria made buses named Chavdar and forklifts.
