Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Crazy Footpath in the Yambol Park
Another picture in the Yambol \City centre park, this time of the crazy paving footpath that is well trodden each day. I like the way it is not straight which would be boring.

Old People Talking in a Yambol Park
This indeed is a common sight where the elderly gather in the park, usually under the shade and talk all day. It cost nothing after all and there are many shoulders to lean on if a moan is made.

A Plastic Shop In Yambol
A business enterprise on the cheap as an erected shop is founded in the style of a plastic tent. The produce are as good as any conventional shop. Profit must also be more here with very little overheads.

What a Lovely Place For Lunch in Yambol
there are hundreds, even thousands of places to eat in Yambol, but this particular place is one of my favourites. Surrounded by greenery and away from other diners, many a rakia and shopska salad has been enjoyed there. There service however does take time as it is quite a way from the restaurant!

Candy Style Road Blocks in Yambol
If you want road block why not make them pretty pone might say. Well this is exactly what they have done in Yambol looking like candy. Could eat one right now but would probably break my teeth in the process!
New Build Unfinished in Yambol
Like many new build projects in Yambol, the money just ran out and the buyers shy away. Left to turn from new to old in an incomplete state.

Steps To The Local Yambol Chemist Shop
You would never think this was a simple entrance to a chemist shop in Yambol. Most just make their way up an down more concerned getting their medicines than noting the architecture of steps, understandably, The rust adds to the character quite well.

Rakia on a Supermarket Shelf
Rakia on a shelf in a Yambol Supermarket, a common sight. Burgas 63 is a good brand and goes well with any salad all year round. Priced at around to the equivalent £6 a good price for expats but not for Bulgarians who would rather drink their home made versions.
