At first sight you may not know what this is. It is in Yambol's Battle of Glory Museum and is a mobile bread making machine. Even in war food is essential and this fits the bill for fresh bread on a daily basis
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Looking down onto Yambol's Tundzha River it looks like think green pea soup. The duckweed is prolific this time of year and just blankets the waters. It will disperse once the weather cools down and rain washes it down the river later in the year.

Club 21 is the name of this particular gambling institution in the heart of Yambol City Centre, albeit you only have to be over 18 to enter. Funny you only hear about winners in gambling genres!

This man flame grilling locally grown peppers is a common sight this time of year in Yambol. A very simple and rewarding affair where the food is prepared for Winter feasts in the extreme cold weather experienced here. It goes without saying that we did the same thing this week.

The Cost of Candles in Yambol's Churches
When ever we visit a Yambol Church we used to light up a handful of candles. But in recent time the price has doubled and we now buy a solitary candle. Many feel that the church is a business and the servants of the faith live a wealthy. I have to agree, This picture of the price of candles is displayed. Pretty expensive for a bit of wick and wax!
