We all die and graveyards are ever expanding. No exception here in Yambol with more space required for deceased Yambol people made by reclaiming land outside the graveyard. This trend will continue naturally.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

The Facade of Mehana (Restaurant) Orestiada in Yambol
You go back in time whenever this facade of this restaurant (Mehana Orestiada) is seen. Looks almost like an American Wild West scene. However, I have been told not to order spare ribs there as there is not much meat on them.

The Ritual Centre in Yambol
Tucked away a little south of Yambol City Centre is the Ritual Centre. It has recently been cleaned up and now standing in pristine condition. A lovely place to sit and enjoy an even more quieter place that the main centre seating area. Glad too many people don't know about this.

The Theatre in Yambol City Centre From Further Afar
the vast majority of pictures taken of the Theatre are directly from the front of the building. this is a natural choice for most as the building is symmetrical and lends people to want a symmetrical picture. So against the grain a non symmetric shot of the Theatre is taken here to spoilt the party, To be quite honest the Theatre looks great from all angles.

The CBC or Commercial Business Centre in Yambol City Centre
Love it or hate it this massive complex namely the CBC or Commercial Business Centre in the Centre of Yambol stands dominantly still in pristine condition. Personally I hate it has no personality and of course most of the building is a abandoned due to lack of business. Better off turning it into apartments I think.

St Nicholas Church Rises Above The Long Grass in Yambol
It was very noticeable that the long grass in the church of St. Nicholas grounds needed attention. However I took the opportunity to capture the church rising above the overgrowth before the grass cutter arrive; and they will soon.

USA '94 Remembered on a Yambol Wall
Not sure how long this has been around but USA '94 is there for a very good reason. Can you guess? World Cup football took place with Bulgaria beating Germany 2-1 in the Quarter Final. Bulgaria's finest moment in International Football.

Roses Galore Outside a Yambol Apartment Block
The grey bleak colours of an apartment block with mainly grey cars parked up need just this. Roses galore planted by residents just change the bleak trip to an absolute pleasure walking past.

A Locked Gate Blended in Graffiti in Yambol
This just caught my eye in terms of the two components blending well together. The locked gate and graffiti background just compliment each other. Both are ugly on their own but but create a little beauty together I feel.

Classic Bicycle Parked Up in Yambol
Just love those classic bicycles that just keep appearing in Yambol. This one parked up with a secure lock on a bench. The saddle looks like a Brooks leather model probably going back half a century or more I'd guess.

Polite Notice Entering an Apartment Block in Yambol
This polite notice was seen when entering one of Yambol's apartment blocks. It makes good sense as well. 'Please shut the door,' is the message if you were wondering. Love the wooden frame and decoration underlining the request.

Derelict Land of Former Buildings on the Southside of Yambol
This are in the South part of Yambol is quite depressive. It is derelict land which held former buildings of which are clearly evident with the foundations that remain. This would be a great place for developing residential property being so close to Yambol City Centre. However the population here is in decline so that will never happen.

South to North Over Yambol's River Tundzha By Bridge
A footbridge enabling pedestrian to travel from the South to the North side of Yambol's River Tundzha is seen here. I like the bare metal girders that poke out of the side as if the construction hadn't been finished. also the two parallel concrete strips going up the stairs very useful for bicycles, prams and buggies.

An Old 60 Kmph Speed Limit Sign on a Yambol Apartment Block
Road Signs are quite often seen on the side of apartment blocks lining roads in Yambol. this one typifies what I mean. A 60 Kmph sign clearly instructing drivers to adhere to that regulation. On the road though other more modern road signs have overtaken with 50 Kmph limits on this particular stretch of road.

Yambol's River Tundzha Looking Healthy Right Now
Looking in a Northerly direction at Yambol's River Tundzha with Yambol City Centre ahead, the health of the River Tundzha looks healthy. After heavy rainfall during Winter and Early Spring it has been flushed out and new silt transported by melted snow from the Balkan Mountains leaving a fertile bed for nature to thrive.

Typical Yambol Bus Stop Timetable
This is a fine example of a Yambol Bus Stop with timetable information on it. What is typical si the fact that it leans to one side as if it was drunk. Maybe purposely done so the bus wing mirror is avoided when buses roll in. Somehow I doubt it though.

The Statue Bulls of Yambol Basking in the Sun
In case you didn't know Yambol has a fine yoghurt made from bull milk. These statutes remain a sitting by the River Tundzha as a reminder of this. Having seen then originally over 10 years ago, they haven't aged at all.
