What was formerly the Dublin Bar is now a restaurant with no name. Open for business and very popular in the centre of Yambol City Centre with seats filled up inside. Strange not to have a name though.

A Well Used Rubbish Bin at the Yambol's City Park Coach Stop

This is the waste bin situated by the coach stop outside Yambol City Park just after a coach had departed fro Sofia the Capital of Bulgaria. As you can see and effort has been made to use the bin but it just couldn't cope with the volume of litter from passengers, This is seen quite often.

Seen from the Southbank of the River Tundzha is Yambol City Park Bridge with the Bulgarian National Flag flying at the far end. ost people enter and leave the park from this area.

Most pictures of this water fountain are taken in mid summer with the fountains working. Rarely do yo see picture without the fountain working in Yambol. Well this is one of them, but of a pool not a water fountain as you can see. Still has a beauty about it with the water mirror feature though.

This pot plant standing next to a lampost in Yambol isn't going anywhere. I love the design of the wired container filled with rocks keeping the pot plant firmly stationary and secure. It is owned by Momo Pizza Restaurant just out of the picture.

Neatly and arranged in regimental fashion, these canopy stands have to bear the coming winter before they are applied with their covers in the Spring. Always find these quite soothing to look at due to their appearance of being on stand and alert.

At long last the pedestrian walkway, namely Rakovski Street has opened. As far as the eye can see this walkway will bring pleasureful traffic free walks and cycling for many years to come. This turns Yambol into a more beautiful place to visit and I'm glad I'm part of that.

Road Closed To Traffic, But Used in Yambol

This road is closed to traffic but is being used consistently by drivers in Yambol over the last six months. No one bats an eyelid with this even with road labours and police around. Mind you, I do the same!!

This is one of the things I love about Yambol and Bulgaria. Practical use of things that would normally be thrown away. The example shown is probably some packing from some white goods put to good use to cover the car and protect albeit just the front end. It works just as well as a designer canopy that cost money. Bravo!

Ashes To Ashes From One Wheelie Bin in Yambol - Again!

This is the third time in space of a year this has happened. Someone has dumped hot ashes for their woodburner in the wheelie bin and from one set of ashes to another. It really is ashes to ashes and a melting death for this wheelie bin. It must be the same person who probably is the same person who complains about the cost of municipal services!

Plastic is something that is a hot topic right no so it is refreshing to see a children play area in Yambol made out of wood. Okay, they might get one or two splinters, but not only is it a biodegradable element it blends in with the area that is lined with trees anyway.

A Moskvitch Car in Excellent Condition in Yambol

The Moskvitch is a Russian designed car but was produced in Bulgaria between 1966 and 1990. This is probably one of them which is in very good condition. I see many of these cars around but rarely in prime condition. This one was found in Kaufland Supermarket car park

In the jungle of fallen trees on the bank of the River Tundzha is a wonderful display of autumn colours. It livens up an area of decay before the grey colours of winter arrive.

A Popular Gymnasium in Yambol

Situated near to the old Bazaar South of the River Tundzha you will find a popular Gymnasium used by many for fitness. Having used this many times myself it is ideal for winter fitness activities when the weather is not suitable for cycling or jogging. They have all the modern equipment there and the staff and clients are all very friendly and welcoming. 

A Typical Yambol House Number

You will find these house numbers all over Yambol and is just typical of the time of communist rule. Metal based and enameled they last for decades throughout all seasons. Always in Bulgarian Blue.

The ABC Builders' Merchant Retail Store in Yambol

This is the relatively new ABC Builders' Merchant Retail Store in Yambol, just a stone's throw away from their other old store. Well used by many trader in Yambol and beyond. The store front has a distinct modern outlook with the bright colours on the facade.

The Mercury Hotel in Yambol

Well established over the years is the Mercury Hotel in Yambol. Having spent a few nights there many moons ago, not much has changed with its unassuming position laid back from the main road. Looking at it you may not recognise it as a hotel business.

Situated near to Yambol's Winery Villa Yambol, you will find a place called 'The Castle' It is a strange building and kind of out of sort with the environment where it sits. Not quite sure who owns it or why it as built but there are still workmen working on the building when I was there today.

Use by thousands of folk each day to enter and exit Yambol City Park, the ne bridge is a fine feature of the City. Spanning the River Tundzha who has a beauty all of its own compliments the scenery perfectly, especially on a sunny day.

Dogs get thirsty as well as humans so it is a great idea to set up a water trough for dogs in Yambol City Park. This is alongside a water drinking fountain and bench for the dogs owners as well.

Dogs can be a nuisance in parks due to inconsiderate owners even with a fenced dog compound facility for dogs to exercise without leads. It is used by responsible folk which is nice to see being a jogger in the park.

After warming up with a little walk along Yambol's Tundzha River, if you walk don the bank and follow the path you will find the City Park Gymnasium. Only built a year ago this is used by many folk in the park and lots of children which is good for the future health of Yambol citizens.

Ho luck are we in Yambol to have such a scenic footpath to walk along by the River Tundzha. Frequented by people of all ages but calm and not as well used as the main path through the Yambol City Park.

Such a lovely spot to sit by the River Tundzha with a lonely bench begging to be sat upon. Situation in Yambol City Park this walk by the River is one of the many treats mixing with nature to behold in Yambol.

New Inviting Benches to Sit on 'in Yambol City Park

With all the renovations being made in Yambol City Park there is an appeal to new things. These brand new benches look so inviting to sit on. I might also add when I did sit on them they were very comfortable and supportive for bad backs.
