Each time I pass this advertisement for nuts in Yambol I am, tempted to buy a packet. Then I realise that the price is far too expensive and change my mind. They do look tasty though.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

A Fig Tree Fighting for Survival in Yambol
This fig tree has sprouted up by the side of a Yambol Apartment Block. An unlikely position for survival but against all odds it is doing well. Nature always wins fights for survival.

Sacks of Rubble To Be Collected in Yambol
At first sight, you would think these sacks of rubble have just been dumped. This is not the case, it is waiting to be collected, probably by Gipsies, then dumped somewhere else illegally!

A New Handmade Shed Door in Yambol
This new shed door wasn't here a few days again passing this Yambol house. Clearly, it is handmade and varnished with secondhand hinges but a new padlock.

Carpet Beater out in Yambol
Disturbed by the sound of thumps, I look out and see a carpet beater working. Yambol has many metal bars installed in populated places specifically for this kind of work.
