Yambol's City Park Water Fountain, it the focal point on the path leading up to the Tennis Courts. The picture shows a very relaxed area with countless benches with people resting and taking in the views and sounds. The is an abundance of wildlife that use this area as well, most frequenting at night when the Yambolians are in bed.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Mushrooms Growing Unoticed In Yambol
I don't know how many tens of thousands of people walk past this tree and didn't notice the mushrooms that were growing there at the base of the trunk. I think the species is Ganoderma applanatum but a very old one. Not edible I might add, but there are many other varieities of mushrooms growing wild here in Yambol that are. The gypsies usually are the first out to pick them and sell on the street.Saturday, 14 February 2009
The River Tundzha - The Other Face

Every picture I have ever seen of the River Tundzha show at as its prettiest. Here is one stretch that the cameras and publications totally ignore. The running water is there, you can just about see it on the left. The wildlife in this part of the river is full of varieties of waterfowl and other river loving mammal, including rats of course. This is a perfect natural haven for nesting in the long grasses there. Added to this the area is basically untouched by humans.

Yambol Tundzha River
Still in the town of Yambol, but just on the outskirts is the River Tundzha. Here you see many Bulgarian people fishing before and after work. The wildlife here is also little know, but for me a major distraction when driving past.365bulgarianadventures
