 It may lo0ok like an eyesore, but there is a little pleasure seeing banks falling by the wayside in Yambol. Their growth has been astronomical over the last decade stealing sites that used to be places of communal coffee shops and restaurants.

 It is not surprising that not many pedestrians are killed on Yambol roads. Looking at this cobblestone rubble on one of the streets required driving slowly to avoid car damage. Speed kills and that is tricky with roads like this.

 As one of the sitting planks had broken, local residents took it upon themselves to repair this bench in Yambol. the new fitting is from a wall panel surplus to requirements but still does the job well.

 These framed portraits of folk having passed away are a common sight in Yambol. Remembering dead people in this way is a form of respect to those before us although some foreigners looking in might feel a little uneasy seeing them.
