It was Baba Marta Den recently and of course, Martinitsas show up on display in Yambol naturally.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Snowdrops in from the Cold in Yambol
Snowdrops are beautiful and a shame to let them show off in a cold isolated place on the outskirts of Yambol. Along with a martinitsa they are now in from the cold and on show.

Another Beautiful Sunset in Yambol
Whenever the sky is relatively clear there is always a beautiful sunset to watch going down. Today was one of those days, despite it being cold. The last rays of sunshine are greeted with joy at the end of the day.

A Typical English Fried Breakfast in Yambol
This is very rare in our apartment seeing a typical English breakfast on the dining room table in the morning. The only thing missing was the English bangers (sausages) which are very hard to source here.

Homemade Goodies in Yambol
Living in Yambol, it is only a short trip to any village where homemade produce is made. A guest showed up with some examples of this as gifts. Jam, tomatoes, gherkins, cherries, apricots and of course rakia! All very welcome at our dinner table in due course.
