A walk to the north end of Yambol's Town Park will present a ruined restaurant that hasn't been in action for at least 15 years I am told. A lovely setting in the summer season. It was also used as a lively disco on occasions and no complains from neighbours as it is totally isolated in the park environment. Such a shame is is now in complete ruin.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

I quite like this photograph. Its a bit stark but makes me wonder what the restaurant was like, what they sold and what it looked like when it was in business.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike,
ReplyDeleteYes stark is a good word to use, but it is mid-winter. Knowing how Bulgarians party it must have been very lively at the time.
