Blossoms and Martenitsas in Yambol

With the unusual warm spell over the last week, the blossoms are in full flow. This means that Martenitsas can now be hung as seen in the picture.

Linden Tree Blossoms Ready for Picking in Yambol

That familiar scent in the air in Yambol that comes from the Linden trees that are so abundant here. Many locals pick the blossoms which are now ready to be dried for a couple of days and used as an infusion for healthy herb tea. And all free! I also have my own supply picked this week now dried and stored ready fore use.

Not too sure what this was all about, but this tree was spotted sporting paper blossoms at the South end of Yambol City Park in the grounds of the Gold Horn (Zlaten Rog) Restaurant.

In my opinion Spring is the best time in Yambol as nature gradually comes to life. Blossoms in full bloom on many trees and looking forward to the fruits that follow on many.
