One of the main attractions and significant landmarks in Yambol is the Eski Mosque attended by Muslims in the area every Friday.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

The Eski Mosque in Yambol
The Eski mosque in Yambol is the second largest mosque in Bulgaria. It is located in the city centre on Liberation Square. It was built after the fall of Yambol under Ottoman rule, in the summer of 1373. Opens for the Muslim community every Friday.

Park Memorial In Front The Eski Mosque in Yambol
Tucked away in front of the Eski Mosque is a little park with a memorial. Quite often ignored by many who walk past albeit with a seating area added to the many other seating areas now in Yambol.
