A New Yambol Restaurant Opens

This used to be a Chinese styled restaurant sitaution in the middle of an area called Borovets. It closed down to be become the nerve centre for the Bulgarian political party GERB, which subsequently won the National elections earlier this year. It now has returened to being a restauarant again albeit 100% Bulagrian with no chinese menus now. The GERB party had moved to new offices 200 metres down the road. We tried it out a few weeks ago, good but expensive, not our choice next time round!

Boyko Borisov's GERB Party WIns Bulgarian Election

Well the national parliamentary elections are over and Boyko Borisov’s GERB conservative party has had a landslide victory and will become the new Prime Minister shortly. The amount campaign of posters slapped in every corner of Yambol is criminal. Now they will remain until the weather elements wear them out or other posters slapped on top of them.

Another Rounded Styled Building In Yambol

Rounded styled buildings in Yambol seem to have been the fashion in recent years. This still holds with this particular building, which is the headquarters of the Democratic political party for the Yambol district. I doubt whether there is a round table in the building though as politics doesn’t hold everyone as equal anymore or every has done thinking about it again!
