To many outsiders this table is a strange thing to see out in a pubic place in the centre of Yambol. Most would not know what it is for. It is a table specifically designed for butchering pigs, sheep or goats. No doubt this is used by the community here and the table shared by locals who live here.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

A Yambol Urban Shepherd

Even in the City of Yambol pastoral thing go on such as farming and herding sheep and goat. This urban shepherd is at work all day with local livestock, which graze on the banks of the Tundzha River. Each morning and evening they are guided to and from their homes for free food on public land, usually during rush hour. (There never used to be a rush hour in Yambol, but now there is.
