Each time I pass this advertisement for nuts in Yambol I am, tempted to buy a packet. Then I realise that the price is far too expensive and change my mind. They do look tasty though.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

A Very Old Coca Cola Advertisement in Yambol
In the Diana area of Yambol I just detected a very old Coca Cola advertisement. It must have been there for decades presumably the corrugated iron was part of a retail business that sold it. Well, no such place on this site anymore.

Yambol Shop Advert Partly Whitewahed Out
This Yambol shop has a massive advert on the side of the building. It seems that the residents at the back didn't care too much about defacing it when they white-washed their own segment of the wall. Everyone of course still understands that the shop sells filters and anti-freeze at factory prices. I like the painted arrows!

Another Yambol Tree Hanging Advertisement
Advertising from tree is common in Yambol as I saw another one. This is a well know company called Suchard who sell chocolate in big numbers here. Suchard was a Swiss chocolatier that was bought out by Kraft Foods. Now Nestle have bought Kraft foods so surprise surprise Nestle in your face again! Bulgarian brand chocolate is by far cheaper and just as good, but not advertised on trees. The snow covered sign should light up at night, but I've never seen it when it's dark so it obviously doesn't work or they save electric by not turning it on - Well times are hard here.
