A lovely specimen of a bracket mushroom in Yambol's City Park. Quite happy on decaying wood away from the maddening crowds and pollution. Glad to say that it will not be tampered with or destroyed by passing folk.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Yambol's Town Park - Bracket Mushrooms
Mushrooms like unpolluted environments and Yambol's Town Park is just that. This is the reason these fine specimen bracket mushroom are in such good condition in mid winter. Mushroom hunting was a big hobby of mine in the UK, I just don't get much time to do it here but when I do there is a massive variety of fungus with many being edible. The nature in Yambol is in good form for a city.
