The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin in Yambol is pristine and a popular place for visitors. Well maintained and the cleanest church I have seen to date it is a pleasure visiting especially if the sun is shining.

Mini Church in Yambol Retail Park

When Yambol Retail Park was created they made a plan to build a mini church there. Such a good idea in this evil materilistic world we live in to get a place to reflect the real values of life.

St Nicholas Church Rises Above The Long Grass in Yambol

St Nicholas, Church, Rises, Long Grass, Yambol,

It was very noticeable that the long grass in the church of St. Nicholas grounds needed attention. However I took the opportunity to capture the church rising above the overgrowth before the grass cutter arrive; and they will soon.

You've seen the outside, now you can see the inside of Yambol's newest Church. Everything is pristine, nice to see a modern building dedicated to the Bulgarian Orthodox cause. In this day and age the community need it to call upon.

Yambol's Newest Church

This is Yambol's newest church and was awarded the Building of the Year in Bulgaria in 2016. I must admit walking around the site the design and layout was fantastic. Inside is typical style Bulgarian Orthodox style used by many locals of all ages.

The Cost of Candles in Yambol's Churches

When ever we visit a Yambol Church we used to light up a handful of candles. But in recent time the price has doubled and we now buy a solitary candle. Many feel that the church is a business and the servants of the faith live a wealthy. I have to agree, This picture of the price of candles is displayed. Pretty expensive for a bit of wick and wax!

Yambol's St Troica Church

Behind the dustbin is Yambol's St Troica Church. This is another grand place of worship in the Kargon area of Yambol tucked away in the mainly residential area 3 kilometres form the city centre. Like all the other churches in Yambol the gates of the church ground and the church itself are open every day.

The Entrance To Yambol's St George's Church

You've seen Yambol's St George's Church Bell Tower from a distance, now you can see the base of the structure that is the entrance to St George's Church. It is indeed a grand entrance and creates a kind of reverence when going through to the main area of worship.

Yambol's St Nikolai's Church Ready For Christmas

Yambol's St Nikolai's Church Ready For ChristmasAnother angle in December of St Nikolai's Church and just before the busiest time of the year which is very good for church business. Like may Bulgarians I speak to, the church is a business and always does well and enhanced in a recession as more people pray for better times ahead. We will be there on Christmas Day along with thousands of others who still have a great respect for the religious calander whilst not being fanatical about it.

Yambol's Roman Catholic Church

Yambol's Roman Catholic ChurchUnless you are Catholic in Yambol you are unlikely to know about this church. It is half tucked away in a street with many similar grand styled architecture. It is Yambol's Catholice Church. Having never actually seen anyone entered the church the only reason I found out was because at the back of the church are offices where you pay your yearly housing tax. Speaking to people there I was duly informed about this impressive building. One Sunday morning if I'm passing, I may enter to see inside.

Litter Bins in Yambol

Litter Bins in YambolI found a couple of litter bins in Yambol today. they are situated just outside the town centre in the park grounds of the church but use by Bulgarian walking past the road adjacent. They aren't new but well used, looked after and respected. they look new because they had just been recently painted. They may be only litter bins but oh how refreshing it is to see such a site in perfect condition!

St Nikolai's Church, Yambol

St. George Church, YambolHere is what see everyday, it's Yambol's attractive St Nikolai's Church. A fine building in the heart of the town amidst a well kept park. The church is often used by many especially on religious festive occasions. One of the priests of this church is my next door neighbour.
