My neighbour showed me her labours for the day with the jarring up of peaches for winter. Yambol has thousands of households who do the same thing it is a die-hard tradition that remains here.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Public Peaches Untouched In Yambol

It is the fruit season and peaches are in abundance in Yambol. You just have to look around in garden an you will see bright pink orange and yellow colours of the peaches in full ripeness. This picture was taken in a public area of Yambol and although many pass the ripe fruits are untouched by the public. They know they belong to someone who has cared for them and give total respect for that.
