The Old Men Gather In Yambol

Every evening all the local old men gather to play cards, chat and just be with other old men. Not a woman in sight, they are no doubt at home doing homely things. This sight is common especially on warm evenings. there is a calm atmosphere of gentle talking apart from the odd shout from card players which is part of the game.

Evening Gathering and Talk

It is aproaching evening in Yambol town centre as all the local residents gather outside on benches to have a talk before it gets too cold and dark. This is a common Bulgarian acitivity througout most of the year. Sometimes they play chess or playing card on a fold up table they bring along. They're playing cards this late afternoon in this group. Lovely to see communities like this, and long may it live here.
