Everywhere you look in Yambol there is a poster promoting a candidate for the Mayor of Yambol. It has become a night mayor of bombarding advertising. Wherever there is a space a candidate poster will be seen.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Deceased Yambolians Remembered on a Slanted Tree In Yambol
The deceased are remembered by placing posters all over Yambol, this particular placing is on a slanted tree in the city centre. Quite often we pause an look at the pictures and details, sometime it is people we knew. Many of the pictures are of the people when they were healthy and young, and why not be remembered that way!?

More Reminders Of The Dead In Yambol
Everyone knows someone who is pictured on the posters that are scattered around Yambol. There is a constant reminder of the dead and this is a place where there are more than in most places. It is also a place where we pause quite often to take a closer look at the older generation that are no longer with us. What must some of them think of Yambol today with the pace of change?

A Yambol Teenager's Bedroom
I saw this poster as I walked alone and assumed that it was a Yambol teenagers bedroom, but not a very brigth one as the poster can only be seen from outside. It is a mystery why it is facing outwards.

An Old Yellow Lada Taxi In Yambol City Centre

In Yambol city centre this old yellow Lada taxi waits for no one, it is no longer in service, however it does have a use. It was used to display national parliamentary election campaign posters. Somehow though I don’t think the owner of the Lada received fees for advertising space.
