This is a favourite place to sell the age-old traditional brooms and brushes in Yambol. These tried and rested cleaning instruments work far better than the modern equivalent.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Traditional Bulgarian Brushes For Sale in Yambol
These traditional brushes haven't changed in generations in Yambol. The only difference is that the price has gone up. 10 years ago they were 2 leva, now they are 4 leva. They work far better than the Chinese made plastic brooms found in shops.

A Lonely Yambol Gadulka Musician
This man is quite often here next to the small park it the town centre. The music is traditional and appreciated by passing Bulgarian folk. I think the instrument he is playing is a gadulka fiddle, which just adds another Bulgarian dimension walking through Yambol town. He always gets enough to feed his family after an hour or two.365bulgarianadventures
