It is very unusual to see blooming tulips in September in Yambol. However, the blooms can last a lifetime if pressed and dried out during the summer months - which is what you see here.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Tulips Galore in Yambol
Wherever you look there seem to be tulips blooming all over Yambol right now, indeed tulips galore! I don't remember as many last year so a bumper year it seems for tulips.

Tulips Blooming in Yambol
The vibrant red colour of these tulips is dazzling in Yambol. Thousands more are opening up this week showing a sure sign of warmer weather upon us.
