Even though the temperatures in Yambol today were in the 20s, the nights are still cold and a thought for the garden comes into play. this little patch is in a public place and neatly arranged plastic bottles protect the plants from overnight chills. Typical Bulgarian this using recycling to good effect.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Recycling Bricks In Yambol

Another typical sight in a changing Yambol City where new developments continue. In this development they are recycling all the bricks you can see stacked up. These will be used in the new buildings that will go up. This is not just part of cost cutting, but normal Bulgarian practice of reusing material time and time again. In 50 years time these bricks may well be used again if the building is re-developed
