Right in the heart of an industrial area of Yambol lies an allotment. This is where workers tend to growing their vegetables before and after work,
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Broad Beans And Peas Out In Yambol
Outside many apartments blocks on common ground are allotments maintained by the residents. All are respected by a passing public that probably has their own back home. The broad beans and peas in the foreground look particularly healthy and productive in due course. I just can't help stopping and admiring plots like this all around Yambol.

Another walk another street another homemade allotment with plans for growing food or flowers. You see these all over the place in Yambol. Wherever there is a space for growing it will be used!
