Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Yambol's Tundzha River Flowing Southwards
Still swollen from the massive amounts of rain we are still getting Yambol's Tundzha River has come to life this winter flowing southwards towards Elhovo and then Turkey. This shot was taken form the Kargon area of Yambol. Looks like a lovely place to start up jogging again, with an assault course of potholes to contend with as well.

Home Made Basketball On Yambol Waste Ground

Walking through some Yambol backstreets again, just off the main road leading out to Elhovo there is a little waste ground. Standing there in the middle is a home made basketball net made from waste material, the upper hoop from an old kids bicycle rim. This is not only for older children but for younger ones as there is another hoop lower down. Again, this is on public grounds and used happily by local children.
