Nature Reserve on Yambol's Tundzha River

 One of the prettiest sights in Yambok now is the River Tundzha that has been turned into a nature reserve. It is a place now where you can walk and take in the wild grasses that now grow there.

 Evening meals are potentially solved with many people fishing off the bridge over the River Tundzha in Yambol. Whilst watching I saw at least three fish caught over a ten-minute duration, so time is not wasted with no results.

Another view from Yambol City Park. This time the reflective waters of the River Tundzha can be seen beyond the flower bed foreground. Hundreds of people walk past this position each day, most not noticing the river as they pass.

Crossing a bridge over the River Tundzha I did expect to see the river that usually flows under the bridge. Well, right now there is no river Tundzha flowing but overtaken with wildlife's blanket of growth.

Walking along the Tundzha River the Hotel Tundzha can be seen from the riverbank. As always towering over the City a dominant feature and and obvious landmark with this capacity.

Path From Yambol's Tundzha River to the Outdoor City Park Gymnasium

After warming up with a little walk along Yambol's Tundzha River, if you walk don the bank and follow the path you will find the City Park Gymnasium. Only built a year ago this is used by many folk in the park and lots of children which is good for the future health of Yambol citizens.

Thick Green Pea Soup That's Yambol's Tundzha River RIght Now

Looking down onto Yambol's Tundzha River it looks like think green pea soup. The duckweed is prolific this time of year and just blankets the waters. It will disperse once the weather cools down and rain washes it down the river later in the year.

Diana Cable Payment Offices in Yambol

We have television cable in our house and use Diana Cable services. Each month we walk to their payment offices in the town centre and pay our bill. We had to wait a few moments for another customer to finish paying  as you can see. there are many other businesses in this complex situated by the River Tundzha.

A Puddled Track In Yambol

Although a little wet and muddy this track is trodden by many to and from work and shops by Yambol residents. It leads to the Tundzha River where it joins a concrete path for the rest of the journey.

Every year Yambol's Tunzhda River is a scene of greenery from the rushes that live there. There is nothing like walking along and admiring the greenery that it shows off in complete contrast from the winter scene that show itself here.

A Pipeline Alongside Yambol's Tundzha River

I found this pipeline travelling alongside Yambol's Tundzha River, but for the life of me don't know what it is for. It is in an area of apartment blocks but I don't think it is for sewerage as it just wouldn't cope with the volume that comes out of big population here.

River Reeds In Yambol's Tundzha

You will find Yambol's Tundzha River full of reeds throughout its length. Ideal for wildlife who live within this environment. The river being so high recently hide the true height of these specimens. In the summer they will be fully revealed

Yambol's Tundzha River Flowing Southwards

Still swollen from the massive amounts of rain we are still getting Yambol's Tundzha River has come to life this winter flowing southwards towards Elhovo and then Turkey. This shot was taken form the Kargon area of Yambol. Looks like a lovely place to start up jogging again, with an assault course of potholes to contend with as well.

With all the melting snow and rain Yambol's Tundzha River is swollen. This picture is after the water had subsided somewhat, I wouldn't be standing where I took this picture at its highest point a few days ago. You can just see the entrance tower of Yambol's St George's Church (Sveti Georgi) on the far bank.
