A Set Of Yambol Rustic Railings

A Set Of Yambol Rustic Railing
These Yambol rustic railings were found not too far from where I live. It just typifies many of the components of a Yambol house where things are used day in day out as they work very well, but the fashion and façade doesn’t really matter at all. Everything is patched together ad hoc, but remains functional and that’s what is important. I just love this Bulgarian lack of pride in appearance, which after all is based mainly on materialism and one-upmanship.

A Yambol Styled Railing

A Yambol Styled RailingA Yambol house with Yambol styled railing by the side of the steps. Now this is just great and typical of many Bulgarian minds when it comes to thing that work, but not that pleasing to the eye. I actually loved the way this was done and could quite easily live with seeign and using this everyday. To others it may just rub them up the wrong way like straighting a picture on a wall. I love it.

Moulded Staircase

Moulded StaircaseAnother back street picture that just caught my eye. The moulded cement just stood out on the 'spiral' staircase in this house. This is set off with the bare brick of the houser and the elegant metal railings. Somehow though it just fits together so well. The bucket outside comfirms this is in Bulgaria.
