Another day another statue outside Yambol Regional Historic Museum. This is another female deep in thought. By the style of the dress she is wearing it looks like a village woman, perhaps waiting for her husband who is out working in the fields. She looks worried and pensive, then I noticed there is am incaved heart shape on her chest. It's all a bit too mysterious to me right now. Perhaps answers might be in the museum if make a point of going in.Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Whacky Races in Yambol
This was quite a bizzare event that I witnessed this evening on the roads of Yambol. A couple of gypsies bringing in some winter straw on their horse and cart were about to be overtaken by a woman cyclist. When she tried to pass they giddied up the horse and wouldn't let here by. It was only when they saw me with a camera on the side of the raod that the race ended and the cyclist finally got past. I suppose if it was a male cyclist there wouldn't have been any contest. By the way, a typical under-nourished gypsy horse, all skin and bones!
