Some visitors might look down on the pictures displayed here. I do not worry about that, the point of this blog is to give a flavour of Yambol as it is on a day-to-day basis. It's not the prettiest city, but has a personality unlike many other cities and towns. Change is the name of the game here, so pictures you see now will be dated very soon now that Bulgaria is in the EU.

An Apology Due

I have to re address the last post and apologise to the person who offered to donate the digital camera. There was a communication problem that caused the camera not to change hands. Such a shame like two ships passing each other in the night.

It is a hopeful Martin who now waits in Yambol for any offers. Again I must stress I have offered to barter with hard cash ($20) that has been donated and 100,000 EC credits that I have saved up over the last year.

There must be someone out there with a digital camera they don't use. Give me a call.

I've Been Let Down

Well the camera hasn't materialised and I have heard nothing from the donor who was due in Bulgaria on the 21st of this month. "Don't' rely on anyone but yourself", was a piece of Bulgarian advice that was given to me a few years a go here. I must say that rings a truth in the time I have lived here.

My blog is therefore on hold again and I am quite disappointed. My earnings are less than £40 a week working a 40 hour week and I just can't afford three weeks pay to buy the most basic of digital cameras. It remains for me to wait again for another promise of a camera. I just can't believe that my offer of 100,000 EC credits and $20 that has been donated has not been taken up. That's over $120 in old blogging money!

I WAIT AGAIN IN HOPE!
