On walking in one of the inner Yambol town suburbs there is a townhouse with a new method of preserving winter fruits. They are just left on the tree. There are peaches that remain in excellent condition and didn't follow the leave tot he ground. I can only assume that because we haven't have any night will below zero temperatures that they are still there. no doubt if a cold spell is forecast, they will be picked put into jars with sugar and water and made into compote for Christmas and the New Year.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.
