These are at one of the many junctions n Yambol. One is a newspaper hut the other a traffic police tower hut. Since I have lived here I have never seen them actually being worked by anyone. I'm sure they were used before, maybe in commnist times. Maybe they'll be used in the future with more world news and traffic that will be in Yambol.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

That's a fascinating comment on our times - we grow out of things and move on, leaving the residue behind.
ReplyDeleteThese look like good wall space to post signs and posters. Perhaps the city want to keep these for historical value.
ReplyDeleteI've seen brand-new police outposts built here and never used! My question is always "So why build it in the first place?" Duh.
