Yambol's city centre park hold a drinking water fountain that is well use in the warmer weather. There is a statue of a mother and child alongside to make it an elegant place to take a sip of Yambol water. This fountain is always working and another example of respect for public property and facilities here.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

Martin. Is there some religious theme? Looks like the virgin and child to me. Some of the sculpture you show is very good-surprised me a little-stereotyping Bulgaria I am afraid.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the public services are well maintained and cool water available when you need it.
