Path Names in Yambol Park

There are many walkway paths in Yambol park, so it was a good idea to name them all. Here are just two put up on a signpost with an explanation of who they were dedicated to.

Yambol Park Fountain Early Morning

Early morning is the best time to visit Yambol park. The sun is low and in this picture, it shines through the fountain water giving it a sparkle.

The Fountain in Yambol Park

The statues have turned green and the water in the pool now has fish in it. This is the state of the fountain in Yambol Park now. It is just as attractive as always.

Yambol City Park Fountain

The algae-rich green waters of Yambol City Park still looks great approaching autumn. The water fountain will stop running once the ice sets in.

Yambol's Beautiful Park

Sometimes we forget how lucky we are here in Yambol to have such a beautiful park. Only a five-minute walk from the centre of Yambol it is a popular as always but big enough not to get overcrowded,

Another New Park Gym in Yambol

Over the last few years, there have been outdoor gyms popping up all over the place in Yambol. This is another one in the park near the main hospital in Yambol. I hardly see anyone using it though.

Children's Train in a Yambol Park

Children, Train, Yambol, Park,
Funny how all trains for children are seen as the old steam trains. This is an example in a Yambol park albeit all the children at school at this time of the day

New Renovated Park Finally Opens in Yambol City Centre

Yambol. Park, New, Renovated, Park, Yambol City Centre,

After around 18 months of chaos, Yambol City Centre park is finally open and what a relief. What with all the noise and inconvenience with fenced off areas it is a treat worth waiting for. Summertime will see this park full of visitors filling the new benches that line each path.

Beautiful Day But Empty Park in Yambol

Beautiful Day, Park, Yambol,

Strange but on a warm sunny day with temperatures close to 30 C you would think that Yambol City Park would be swarming with folk walking with their prams, dogs or own their bikes. Today there wasn't' a soul about as I wander through the empty paths. Mad dogs and Englishmen perhaps?

Old People Talking in a Yambol Park

This indeed is a common sight where the elderly gather in the park, usually under the shade and talk all day. It cost nothing after all and there are many shoulders to lean on if a moan is made.

In And Out Sign For Yambol's Underground Parking

The underground parking here for the Yambol Business Centre quite clearly marks the in and out signs. I think I have mentioned before most find other places to park as the fee is 1 lev. Why pay to walk a couple of metres? I have never seent his car park anywhere near full although I know it will be used more in years to come with the increase of traffic in Yambol each month.

A Lonely Woman In A Yambol Children's Park

A lovely sunny warm day in Yambol but no children playing in this area designed for them. Instead a lonely old woman deep in though sits there on her own. What's going through her head I wonder? I'm sure it is something to do with money and worrying considering how much pension she gets to survive on here.

A Nice Little Park Area In Yambol

This nice little park area is a place I often visit whilst waiting for people, Not too far from the big Kaufland supermarket I would much rather be in the park than touring the aisles with a shopping trolley. I like the circular styled metal layout backing of the seating area. Simple, effective and pleasant to those who use and respect it in Yambol,

The Yambol City Centre Park Is Full

Yambol city centre park was full of people today as the sun was out and warm weather here at last. There is forecast rain over the weekend so they are all making the most of it this lunchtime. More sun and sitting in the park to come no doubt soon.

A Yambol Tree Covered Car Park

A Yambol Tree Covered Car Park
Cars tend to park anywhere in Yambol. That is changing in the city centre with no parking signs going up like there is no tomorrow, but on the outskirts this still happens. The car parked on the pavement has chosen this tree to shelter for the sun. The trouble is that birds often leave a big mess on the car; the driver’s choice has been made though in this case – Cool car, but splattered window screen.

New Yambol Underground Car Park

New Yambol Underground Car Park
Along with the new shopping centre in Yambol there is the new underground car park. I don’t like cars, but their invasion in Yambol over the last few years is very dramatic. This is a paying underground car park and I don’t see many Ladas, myself included going in as free street parking is across the road. Most Bulgarians shop for only a couple of items every day so carrying the shopping a couple of hundred metres presents no problem. Or shop in the bazaar, which most still do anyway keeping business alive there.

A New Bench For A Small Yambol Park

This little Yambol park area next to a petrol station out on the Hanovo road is undergoing a facelift. Bulgarian workers who love the warm sunshine in their working environment are making a new pathway and benches in the park. This will be finished in a few days and apart from the smell of petrol a lovely walk and a little sit down perhaps across another green area of Yambol.

Yambol City Centre Park - Drinking Water Fountain

Yambol City Centre Park - Drinking Water Fountain
Yambol's city centre park hold a drinking water fountain that is well use in the warmer weather. There is a statue of a mother and child alongside to make it an elegant place to take a sip of Yambol water. This fountain is always working and another example of respect for public property and facilities here.

Yambol's Greek Goddess Diana - A Different Pose

Yambol's Greek Goddess Diana - A Different PoseWe have already had one picture of the Greek Goddess Diana and her faithful hound in the Diana Park which is named after her. This time however there is no hunting in the snow. Here she is again situated on the south side of Yambol City just inside the dual carriageway ring road. She is such an elegant figure with almost a gymnastic pose with here bow. Dogs will always be dogs as this hunting kanine looks in readiness for the hunt.

Additional Tables and Chairs in a Yambol Park Area

Additional Tables and Chairs in a Yambol Park AreaIt was with great interest that I saw additional table and chairs laid out in the little park area of Yambol where the local community meet each evening. They play cards and chess here and of course need a raised playing area and seats facing each other. It is an old cardboard box and a couple of rocks that are used, how practical. These are left over night safely and will not be moved by rampaging teenagers, how nice to know that they will still be there the following morning untouched.
