The Yambol City Centre Park Is Full

Yambol city centre park was full of people today as the sun was out and warm weather here at last. There is forecast rain over the weekend so they are all making the most of it this lunchtime. More sun and sitting in the park to come no doubt soon.

Husky Dog Weather In Yambol - Not!

Husky dogs are very popular in Yambol. I would say that out of ten poeple walking dogs two would be walking a husky. Well the winters in Yambol certain make Husky at home, but this year it is not Husky weather in Yambol with temperatures soaring to 15-16 C on New Year Day!

Yambol Fountains That Work

In the city centre of Yambol lies a row of fountains that are rarely working. This weekend they are, and what a difference they make when working now the sun is out and the weather is warm. It just adds a more freshness to an already fresh area of the city that is a pleasure to walk.

Outdoor Seating For Yambol Apartment Residents

Outside a block of Yambol apartments towards the south of the city I saw these seats that are commonly used outside for the residents. It is unusual to see a table that have been cemented in to the ground, but a good idea. During the hot weather that is now upon us these setas will be filled in the evenings with perhaps a few bottles of beer or glasses of rakia being sipped away into the night. These of course will be elderly Bulgarian folk with a social drink to two, not youngsters on a drinking binge.

A Yambol Pedestrian Walkway - With Dangers Attached

I often walk this way along this narrow Yambol pedestrian walkway one of the best paved way in town, but is has its own dangers. In winter the icicles hang from the ledge above and many people have had injuries from the falling ice spears. Luckily 99 times out of 100 this is not the case as today. Just a bit of rain and a cover from that as well. I like the tree lined path that is created here.

Weather for Cement in Yambol

The work is still going on with this massive complex right in the centre of Yambol town. It is a case of non stop building right now as the weather is just right for laying cement right now. Not too hot not too cold!

The 'Bulgarian' Sun

I know the sun is seen all over the world, expect the UK apparently this year. But today looking up warming my face was the 'Bulgarian sun as warm as ever this glorious weather in September. Most Bulgarian's try and hide from it in the summer, apart from lapping it up on the Black Sea.
