Ice in Yambol at Last

Ice, Yambol,
It has been a long wait this winter but we finally got some cold weather and ice in Yambol. As you can see the fountains in the city centre have frozen over as a result. At least we will have less bugs in spring now.

A Yambol Man On Crutches - Ice And Snow To Blame

Snow and ice cause accidents as I caught site of one such Yambol man who was walking back form the hospital on crutches. You can guarantee that you will see many people will be incapacitated with winter here and ice on the ground. I had to feel sorry for him, he obviously couldn't afford a taxi and had no smile on his face for the photograph as he approached me. However he did cheer up a bit when I explained to him his picture would be on the Internet for the world to see. Funny how he didn't really care that hew was pictured with crutches!

A Yambol Pedestrian Walkway - With Dangers Attached

I often walk this way along this narrow Yambol pedestrian walkway one of the best paved way in town, but is has its own dangers. In winter the icicles hang from the ledge above and many people have had injuries from the falling ice spears. Luckily 99 times out of 100 this is not the case as today. Just a bit of rain and a cover from that as well. I like the tree lined path that is created here.

Really Cold Out In Yambol This Morning

Really Cold Out In Yambol This MorningIt was really cold this particular morning in Yambol as I went out jogging. The trees which I believe are pine trees, were iced up like candy floss as I passed. A few hours later the sun came out and the the trees lost their 'furry ice' coats.
