Battered Wheelie Bin in Yambol

Battered, Wheelie Bin, Yambol,
How this wheelie bin gets into such a state is beyond me. It needs a great deal of force to batter this to get into this state. Yet it is still used and emptied each day regardless of the condition.

Inside a Wheelie Bin in Yambol

Inside, Wheelie Bin, Yambol,
Ever wonder what is inside the wheelie bins in Yambol? what do those Gipsies look for? Well here is an example of the contents in a wheelie bin. No appeal to me, ut then I'm not a Gypsy or struck with poverty!

A Repaired Wheelie Bin in Yambol

Repaired, Wheelie Bin, Yambol,

Some of the wheelie bins in Yambol take a battering from a passing public who use them. This was the first time I had seen one back in use after repairs made. Look like the opposite side of the bin needs attention now.

Another Burnt Out Plastic Wheelie Bin in Yambol

Burnt, Plastic, Wheelie Bin, Yambol

During the winter months it is common to see burnt out plastic wheelie bins Yambol. Woodburning stoves are still used in the city centre and the hot ashes are put in these containers setting them alight. No sense at all with these people who do this adding to the cost the rate needed to pay to replace them.

Ashes To Ashes From One Wheelie Bin in Yambol - Again!

Ashes To Ashes, Wheelie Bin, Yambol,

This is the third time in space of a year this has happened. Someone has dumped hot ashes for their woodburner in the wheelie bin and from one set of ashes to another. It really is ashes to ashes and a melting death for this wheelie bin. It must be the same person who probably is the same person who complains about the cost of municipal services!

Plastic Wheelie Bins in Yambol

Wherever you go in Yambol, every hundred metre or so you will see these black plastic wheelie bins on public roads. They are ransacked by the Roma folk for plastic, metal and other reusable items before the truck come along and empty them regularly. Of course fly tipping goes on with the broken toilet dumped alongside - no claims on this item though.

A Smoking Wheelie Bin In Yambol

A Smoking Wheelie Bin In Yambol

Well a digital camera has finally arrived bought on a Bulgaria 'Ebay' type online auction and was delivered within 24 hours at a bargain price of 104 BGN leva. The first picture I took was just 100 metres from our Yambol home as I immediately saw a wheelie bin that had been set on fire. This is quite a common here and no need for any fire brigade to extinguish it as it keeps the scavenging cats, dogs rats and mice away.

Yambol Gypsy Bottle Collectors

Yambol Gypsy Bottle CollectorsThese two Yambol Gypsies have the hands full with bottles they have scavenged from the big wheelie bins scattered around the city. They will be sold somewhere or used for heating their homes in the slightly chilly evenings. Nothing is wasted here in Yambol, always recycled or used until it drops. Bulgarians would use these bottles for gardening purposes, but the Gypsies just are not green-fingered at all here.
