As one of the sitting planks had broken, local residents took it upon themselves to repair this bench in Yambol. the new fitting is from a wall panel surplus to requirements but still does the job well.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

A Repaired Wheelie Bin in Yambol
Some of the wheelie bins in Yambol take a battering from a passing public who use them. This was the first time I had seen one back in use after repairs made. Look like the opposite side of the bin needs attention now.

A Roughly Repaired Bench in Yambol
It seems that either they didn't have a tape measure or they didn't have a saw when this bench was repaired. But my guess is that they had both but it would have been extra work and it works quite well as it is. In fact you can get more people sitting down the way it was left! So practical!

Yambol Green Road Signs
Typical way of telling driver to avoid a manhole that has just been repaired, just stick a branch of a tree there. It is kind of pretty, environmentally friendly and definitely Bulgarian.
