Outside almost every apartment block in Yambol you will find a communal carpet beater frame. It is commonly used in Spring and Autumn and also has a dual purpose as a gymnastic frame for pull ups for local fit Yambolians.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

A Fine Place for a Vine
This is another common sight in Yambol, vines growing on top of garages. These created spaces are sometimes used as seating areas in the summer under the frame and the shade of the vines. There is always space in Yambol for vines whether you have a garden or not.Friday, 31 October 2008
Yambol Style DIY Bicycle Frame Repair
Okay, so the mainframe of you bicycle has snapped, end of bike? Not in Yambol, for a DIY repair that works, strap a piece of wood alongside the severed frame and ride on. This will last for ages. I just love the way this is done, especially with a mountain bike that has front suspension forks!
