Not quite sure what to make of this in terms of being eco-friendly. I guess it is halfway there with the big plastic bottle being reused as a bin, but then there is plastic within that could have also been reused or collected for recycling. I guess after 2 litres of beer that thought never occurred!

Current prices here are around 50 leva per cubic metre it goes up every year much to the discontentment of Bulgarians. By the way, security dogs guard the area and it is dangerous to walk around there out of working hours.

Trees are used all over the country in Bulgaria for many things, even in town centres the resources that trees provide are taken advantage of. This particular tree has its branches sawn off ever year and used for supports for tomatoes and other vegetables, then used as firewood for heating. The tree looks poorly right now, but next spring it comes back to life and provides more resources. How good it is to know that this renewable source of wood and does no harm to the environment.
