Shaded Sculpture by the River Tundzha in Yambol

Just coming out of Yambol crossing the bridge spanning the River Tundzha you will find this sculpture which is shaded for most of the day. The other side on the other hand is always in sunshine and not ignored as much.

Ant, Sculpture, Yambol, Yambol's City Park,

Near to the children's play are in Yambol's City Park you will find this creepy ant sculpture. It must scare quite a few people walking past it. Luckily it is cemented and bolted into the ground so can't move off.

A Sculpture with a Chemist in the Background in Yambol

yambol, sculpture, chemist,

An abstract sculpture stands on a small green area in Yambol with a Chemist in the background. This is often seen by Yambol folk while waiting for their prescriptions as I have done in recent weeks having been ill.

Abstract Sculpture in Yambol City Park

Yambol City Park has many interesting thing to see, this abstract sculpture is one of them. You may think by looking at the picture that it is made of wood. It isn't but a strong plastic resin so there will be no decay over the years.

Yambol Park - Iron Sculpture

Yambol Park - Iron SculptureIf you visit the Yambol park in the City centre you will see an iron sculpture that stands there. No inscriptions are apparent, but is does resemble a floral type figure. Somehow it fits in witht he surrounding area perfectly, not obtrusive at all and has a calmng presence about it, perfect for sunny warm days like this to relax at lunchtime as many Bulgarians do.

Yambol's Museum Statue - Mother and Baby

Yambol's Museum Statue - Mother and Baby
This is the final statue in the series out side Yambol's Regional Historic Museum and one of the most interesting. the sculpture portrays a mother and baby, yet it is done in a abstract way. There is no character base here just some shapes and posture to give the feeling of love that can only come from a mother and baby. I find this quite a powerful work of Bulgarian art that would say the same thing thing internationally.

A Bit of Yambol Culture

A Bit of Yambol CultureThis is one of many sculptures seen in Yambol town centre. all have an appeal and something to say in the art world. They are there to be seen not touched although you do get little children playing around them. These works of art just add to the character of Yambol environment and are appreciated by Yambol people by the respect and care they give to them.
