This man flame grilling locally grown peppers is a common sight this time of year in Yambol. A very simple and rewarding affair where the food is prepared for Winter feasts in the extreme cold weather experienced here. It goes without saying that we did the same thing this week.

This is block number 33 in Yambol and looks like it needs a little TLC. The number painted on looked very much like a DIY job and made without a template which is in contrast to many other sprayed on numbers. No doubt the homes inside are looked after well though.

A New DIY Fashion Jewellery Shop In Yambol

One of the busiest and colourful shops in Yambol this Christmas was the new DIY jewellery shop that has opened. You can't fail to noticed the bright coloured beads in the window when you pass and like many others we went in to see the massive selection on show. The beauty is that you can create you own beautiful unique jewellery very cheaply. The shop was packed when we visited and sales were doing well. Great to see that this is doing well and a hobby that is very popular with Bulgarian minors and adults alike.

Another example of Bulgarians just taking out paving stones to create a little gardens. This is a common sight in Yambol and can involved growing vegetables as well as flowers. Again, everyone respects the creativeness and no one complains.

Yambol Style DIY Bicycle Frame Repair

Okay, so the mainframe of you bicycle has snapped, end of bike? Not in Yambol, for a DIY repair that works, strap a piece of wood alongside the severed frame and ride on. This will last for ages. I just love the way this is done, especially with a mountain bike that has front suspension forks!
