Seen often in Yambol homes are these gas bottle heaters. Every so often a news story tells us one has blown up leaving carnage behind. This one is new but there are many decades old and that's the issue.
Yambol is not the prettiest City in Bulgaria, but it does have a unique character which is now in the process of being captured by camera. What you see now in Yambol will be short lived in a world of change, especially with the EU strangling the heart and soul of Bulgaria's culture with directives and uniform regulations.

My Favourite Petrol Station in Yambol
Situated almost under the shadow of Kaufland Supermarket, this Petrol Station is a favourite of mine and where I normally fill up my bottle gas in the Winter months. It may not be the cheapest, but it is the nearest and staff always friendly.

A New Gas Metering System In Yambol City Centre

I caught sight of this network of gas piping on a newly built shop front on a sidewalk just south of Yambol city centre. It does have the warning signs on, but I did reflect on whether this type of design would be used in the UK, especially the use of glass, which could be broken quite easily. Bad thoughts Martin forget the past and live the future!

Yambol Solar Showers

No need for electric or gas driven showers in Yambol homes. This big oil can painted black acts as a gravity powered solar water heating system. Even in the winter there is still plenty of warm sun to heat up some water. These are some of the devices I absolutely love in Bulgaria, so green so environmentally friendly and feels so good. By the way, they work very well, I've tried it.
