If ever you are a little hungry and just want a quick health snack then this Yambol (Ямбол) sweetcorn stand fits the bill. There is an old lady that serves you but she is supported by a younger man on occasion. Very popular and better for you than the pizzas only fast food joints only 20 metres away.

A New Fast Food Joint in Yambol

This is one of Yambol's newest fast food joints. The rise in fast food takeaway shops continues. The name Aladin is part of other fast food joints already established under the same company. typical food for sale there as pizza, hamburgers and kebabs and of course chips with everything. Can't say I'd use the place when so much Bulgarian traditional food is for sale elsewhere.

Sinbad - A Popular Fast Food Place in Yambol

If you have ever been to Yambol and walked along the long pedestrian, you will recognise this place. Called 'Sinbad', it has been a fast food centre for many years and remains very popular to Bulgarians. Having been tempted to snack there myself on many occasions, nice to know they continued do a good serving of ayran (yogurt drink) with pizza slices. Many children feed there everyday, which is not good and also it is frequented by gypsies who take picking of left overs from bins.

Yambol's Kabile Hotel Pizza Bar and Diner Restaurant

Yambol's newish Kabile Hotel has an adjoining Pizza Bar and Diner Restaurant. I'm sure it should read 'Diner' not 'Dinner' on the facade of the restaurant. It is on the first floor with the menu that can be read on the ground floor before making your way up the stairs. I've never been in the place as it is too posh for me and we don't eat out often anyway.

Sinbad - Yambol's Fast Food Joint

Sinbad has been around in Yambol City centre for years, this one is near the Kabile Hotel. It is a fast food joint serving donor kebab, publically roasted chickens and pizzas. This is a favourite place for many locals with their seating area outside in the warmer weather. We don't use it that much, perhaps two or three times a year, but many Bulgarians do at lunchtime and after work. I am glad to say we haven't got any global American style hamburger or fried chicken fast food joints here yet. This is also a good place for scavenging Gypsies who hunt the bins for left overs to eat without scruples.

A Grand Pillered Restaurant Entrance

This grand pillared building is actually the entrance to a restuarant called 'Nostos' that is reknown for its pizza dishes. We went there for a birthday party once a couple of years ago and sat in the a spacious garden area at the back for warmer days and evenings. This used to get very busy in the summer, it remains whether it will be as busy this summer with the recession now hitting Bulgaria and Yambol.
