DIY Fly Scarer in Yambol


 This trick was explained to me by a local Yambol resident. The flies see an enlarged reflection of themselves on the reflective plastic and this scares them away as they don't recognise the bigger fly as themselves. Not sure if it works, but a cheap method if nothing else.

On visiting a friend on the outskirts of Yambol, he has no tap water connected. To him, this is not a problem as he has a gravity-based water system that he refills each day. To us it is primaeval, but to him, it is normal having not had mains water all his life.
