Tired Stray Dog on Yambol Streets

Tired dog, Stray, Dog, Yambol. Yambol Streets,

No, this dog isn't dead, but dead tired after walking around Yambol for the main part of the day looking for food. Stray dogs are common and seeing them just plonk themselves anywhere and fall asleep.

Multi-Holed Door for the Benefit of a Dog in Yambol

Multi-Holed, Door, Benefit, Dog, Yambol,

Every time I walk past this door the dog barks. Without the multi-holed door, the dog would not bark due to being oblivious to passers-by. The holes, therefore, are for the dog's benefit. You can just see the dog behind the door if you look carefully.

Fluffy Dog Appears Suddenly in Yambol

Fluffy, Dog, Yambol,

Surprises never cease on the streets of Yambol. Yet another example today when a fluffy dog suddenly appeared from behind a fence whilst I was walking by. It startled me for a moment but then I had to take a picture of this cuddly bear like canine.

One of the Many Wild Dogs of Yambol

Dog, Wild Dogs, Yambol,

The are hundreds of wild dogs in Yambol. Resting on the streets in during the day and at night you can hear them howling and hunting as some gather in packs. Individually they are harmless, but gathered they are dangerous if you are a vulnerable person or young child.

A Cosy Bed for a Yambol (Ямбол) Dog

Cosy Bed, Yambol, Ямбол, Dog

Not a conventional bed for a dog, but he fits like a glove under the grapevine on a bed of leaves as a mattress. Looks very cosy indeed there and didn't mind having his picture taken.

A Stray Dog Stirred in Yambol

Walking through Yambol stray dogs are still on the prowl in most places. This one was asleep until I stopped when it stirred as I took the picture. Half asleep as you can see, persons taking pictures was new to this canine. This was a loner dog, but probably later in the evening it will join into a pack and hunt throughout the night as they do. Individually they are cowards but in a pack, (or more appropriately a gang) they are a proven danger to the public.

A Tree Watering Service In Yambol

This tree looks pretty bare so a little canine walking away from the tree has tried to help by giving it a free watering service. I'm not too sure that it will help, but its the thought that counts. This dog of course is not the one that helps Yambol trees by watering them.

Another Statue Of Yambol's Goddess Diana

There are many statues of Yambol's favourite Goddess Diana. Today I found another one tucked away in a little park facing the main road away form the pedestrian path so not many people see in on foot. I do believe there was a javelin or spear in here left hand, another form of hunting of course from the hunting Goddess. No hunting dog with her this time.

Husky Dog Power Over Yambol's Tundzha River

Husky dogs are very popular in Yambol and are often seen out and about. this particular husky dog is in its element working away pulling a cyclist across the Tundzha River. It may seem pretty dangerous to thsoe who are accustomed to European roads with police surveillance everywhere, but is q common sight here without questioning.

A Yambol Factory Guard Dog

A Yambol Factory Guard Dog
Driving past a factory on the outskirts of Yambol I came across a guard dog whose home is under the security guard’s hut. A tray of water and no doubt a daily round of bread in the morning and evening is the dog’s diet. Barking is the job and this dog does it well as I approached.

Greek Goddess Diana's Dog in Yambol

Greek Goddess Diana's Dog in Yambol
Diana the Greek God of hunting is a favourite daughter of Yambol. She can be seen in many places but today I caught site of her dog. Diana was nowhere to be seen. The building where the dog stood was being renovated so I presume Diana will return on completion to rejoin her companion who waits obediently.
