Yambol Park Toilet Block

Always kept neat, tidy and clean is the toilet block in Yambol Park. Made out of what looks like a container the inside is well managed and no doubt very convenient for many.

Toilet Extension Made in Yambol

Toilet, Extension, Made in Yambol, Yambol,

Seemingly there wasn't a toilet in the original design of this Yambol property. No problem, just get a few more brick and add an extension and, 'Hey Presto!' we have one. You can see the plastic sewerage pipe going underground at the bottom of the structure.

A Hole in the Ground in Yambol

Good job it was daylight and I was aware of my surround otherwise it could have been a nasty experience. This hole in the ground just appeared before me as I tramped over some rough ground in Yambol. It had obviously been use as a drainage point at some time but the infrastructure surrounding it and its purpose has moved on with the hole remaining. This is a common find in Yambol.

The Yambol Bus Station Pubic Toilets

Tucked away out of sight, the Yambol Bus Station public toilets don't do a roaring trade from the men of Yambol. I will tell you why. Most men, including myself, take a short walk toward to the Tundzha River and relieve ourselves by the back of a building (the police head office building as it happens!) I know as the smell is so distinctive there. The price of using the public toilet is 30 stotinki and having accidentally walked into and used the ladies toilets some four years ago, I wasn't impressed with the hygiene of the place, but that may just be the ladies of Yambol!

Yambol's Hospital Toilet - Funds Needed Obviously

Yambol's Hospital Toilet - Funds Needed Obviously
As we visited the hospital today to see one of our friends who was there we took a trip to the toilet. This toilet is for the use of patients there. What you see is typical of the requirement of updating, repairing and modernising that is needed in this hospital, but there are no funds to do so. Most funds are put into the development of businesses unfortunately. At least the toilet works.

A Yambol Toilet By The Tundzha River

A Yambol Toilet By The Tundzha River
As I walk along a quiet path by the scenic Tundzha River I come across an old Yambol toilet been dumbed there. This is a common not only in Yambol but all over Bulgaria where fly tipping is considered normal. Although not publically acceptable, it is put up with by Bulgarian as part of the culture here. This dumping of rubbish puts many people off being expatriates here, understandable.
