Yambol's New Business Centre Now Open

Yambol's New Business Centre is now finally complete and open. It's been 18 months or so to construct and is probably the biggest building project in Yambol's recent history. No longer will we have to dodge the lorries and inhale the dust that surrounded the complex whilst being constructed. I just hope that the worker now have more work to go to now this is completed.

A Yambol Toilet By The Tundzha River

As I walk along a quiet path by the scenic Tundzha River I come across an old Yambol toilet been dumbed there. This is a common not only in Yambol but all over Bulgaria where fly tipping is considered normal. Although not publically acceptable, it is put up with by Bulgarian as part of the culture here. This dumping of rubbish puts many people off being expatriates here, understandable.

A Yambol Styled Railing

A Yambol house with Yambol styled railing by the side of the steps. Now this is just great and typical of many Bulgarian minds when it comes to thing that work, but not that pleasing to the eye. I actually loved the way this was done and could quite easily live with seeign and using this everyday. To others it may just rub them up the wrong way like straighting a picture on a wall. I love it.

A Rough But Ready Yambol Shop

this Yambol shop may look rough, but is is open and ready for business everyday to local residents. The roof still keeps the water out so why bother repairing it? - A waste of money! The wall is littered with traditional memorial poster of dead relatives of local people. Well walls are there to be used so why not? At least everyone can see and be reminded of previous residents and customers that shopped there.

Yambol Sweet and Lollipop Stall On May Day

It's May Day today and Yambol this sweet and lollipop stall is not doing much of a trade at the moment. Perhaps the owner should have stayed and home and had a holiday along with everyone else. Those lolliops look nice though.
