A Yambol Hairdresser's Chair Seen in Yambol


 Looking in from the outside a hairdresser's chair can be seen in Yambol. This is run by a Turkish woman who used to work with her husband, who incidental is a better hairdresser than her. She now works there on her own. Today however the place is shut being Sunday.

 A common sight seen in Yambol are newly planted trees, shrubs and other plant varieties. Today it was the turn of a walnut tree to appear by the roadside in Yambol. Free nuts in the future for people who pass by.

A Union Jack Mug Found in Yambol Home


 I am quite amazed at the number of British flavoured items that can be found in Yambol homes. Today on a visit to a friend I saw a Union Jack mug on the table. Asking where he got it from, he said it was a gift from a family member who works in the UK. this may account for most of the artefacts from the UK here in Yambol.

White Grape Grinding Today in Yambol


 It was only yesterday when I saw the grinding of red grapes. As I passed the garden the very next day I see white grapes in the grinder. These look just as yummy as yesterday's crop!

 Looks like this Yambol gardener has got a new grape grinder making the grape pressing a but easier in old age. I must say, those grapes look delicious, but not for eating I guess.

 Forget about buying fruit from the supermarket or bazaar. There is fresh fruit for sale on a Yambol doorstep which is better quality and at a lower price. What's more, it is chemical-free albeit a couple nibblesw from insects as a result.

 A distinct smell of fermenting plums was experienced today in Yambol. On investigating I found that indeed there were three barrels of plum wine well in the process of fermenting. No doubt distilling into rakia is on the cards soon
