A Dry River Tundzha in Yambol

Dry, River Tundzha, Yambol,
Every winter crossing the bridge over the river Tundzha in Yambol is a bit of a disappointment. The simple reason being that the river is dry. In the spring the water from the northern Balkan mountains will feed the Tudnzha again turning it into a river again.

Cleaned But Still Dirty T-Shirt Hung Dry in Yambol

Cleaned, Dirty, T-Shirt, Dry, Yambol,

It didn't go unnoticed when I passed a house in Yambol. Seeing a T-Shirt hanging out to dry, even though it had been washed, it remained dirty. Guess it would be used for gardening and not to a special event.

Yambol Water Fountain - Dry

Yambol Water Fountain - Dry
Every since first coming to live in Yambol I have only seen this water fountain working a handful of times. Today is a normal day for the fountain which is stone dry. I presume the fountain is not broken, but just not operating to save on water and electric in these hard financial times. No doubt we will see it up and running again in the summer, it makes such a difference and a happy feeling when working.

Iced Up Carpets Out To Dry

Iced Up Carpets Out To DryEven with snow, ice and rain all in one day, the carpets are still our on thw washing line to dry. It might take a few weeks, but they dry out soon. These aren't the only things hanging out to dry. As I look at the apartments, hundreds of items of clothes are out. These were as stiff as a board in the sub-zero temperatures. You just can't get stuff dry that is iced up, but who am I to argue, this system has been going on for decades.
