Water Fountain Without a Fountain is a Pool in Yambol

Most pictures of this water fountain are taken in mid summer with the fountains working. Rarely do yo see picture without the fountain working in Yambol. Well this is one of them, but of a pool not a water fountain as you can see. Still has a beauty about it with the water mirror feature though.

A Watering Area for Visitors in Yambol City Park

On a hot and humid day with temperatures above 30 C what better place to stop in Yambol City Park than a watering area. As always the fountain is working and there are free seats. It just needs a shelter from the blazing sun to become the perfect place to refresh yourself.

Three Boys a Fish and a Water Fountain in Yambol City Park

Most pictures show this fountain from afar with the full moat and flower bed that surrounds it. Thought it would be different to focus on the three boys and the fish which make up the fountain feature. So here it is.

Yambol's City Park Water Fountain

Yambol's City Park Water Fountain, it the focal point on the path leading up to the Tennis Courts. The picture shows a very relaxed area with countless benches with people resting and taking in the views and sounds. The is an abundance of wildlife that use this area as well, most frequenting at night when the Yambolians are in bed. 

A Drinking Fountain In St Nikolai's Church Park Garden

This is the recently installed drinking fountain that lies in the grounds of Yambol's St Nikolai church. It was built in 2009 and a pleasant addition to the garden park area which sees many visitors on hot days. Against the backdrop fo the block apartment which forms a kind of frame for the dwarfed water fountain to sit in.

Yambol Water Fountain - Dry

Every since first coming to live in Yambol I have only seen this water fountain working a handful of times. Today is a normal day for the fountain which is stone dry. I presume the fountain is not broken, but just not operating to save on water and electric in these hard financial times. No doubt we will see it up and running again in the summer, it makes such a difference and a happy feeling when working.

Yambol Park

This is the entrance to the Yambol town centre park. The two ornaments just set it off nicely. The park is well used by all gernations of Bulgarian and no vandalism anywhere to be seen, with a drinking water fountain always working there in the centre of the park.

Yambol Town Centre Water Fountain

So many water fountains are in Yambol but I have never seen any of them work until today. It makes a big difference as I walked past, but cost money which is why they were turned off weren't maintained. Money is now rolling into Yambol hopefully this particular water fountain the first of many that will be working.
